If you want to stay in one of the finest places on the island, there is the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel which can be from $308 a night. This glamorous resort has exotic décor and its own private beach. Please note that it is currently closed for renovations and will be opening hopefully sometime in 2008. Parker Ranch has the Jacaranda Inn which is a lovely Bed and Breakfast and rooms start at $159. There is also the Royal Kona Resort right on the water in Kona, near shops and restaurants, with rooms for $85 a night.
